I asked Jaden where he saw these light sabers that he keeps talking about and he said," Mom I havn't seen them, but I am sure they are working on them in Santa's Workshop."

We miss you!

Our house is cute, the weather is perfect, and the holidays are here, so we should be jolly. The sad part is we miss all of you dearly. The good news is thanks to Super Grandpa the boys sleep in their cute room soundly and we no longer here the pitter patter of Alex feet all night.

We went to our new ward and Alex went to Nursery (there are three) and Jaden made new friends in Primary. The meetings were good, but you could barely hear anything in sacrament because of the overall chaos of kids.

Jared was so cute. I asked him if he liked the house and he said, "I like the house, but what makes me happy is that you love the house."

I was a little scared that we made a mistake after the clorox in the eye, food poisoning, and lock yourself out of the house fiasco we faced with the move, but I after seeing the smile on Jared's face after his short commute I know we did the right thing.

We miss all of you tons and appreciate all you love and support. We are truly blessed to have such a sweet family and if there is anything you need just call. Love you!

we are really slacking on this whole blogger thing. any way I would just like to say hello to everyone and share a little piece of funny information. the chemistry teacher here at la reina recently became very ill( this is not the funny part I am not that cruel) so the principal has been frantically searching for a new teacher, well it was announced yesterday that she found one. Guess who it is ladies and gents. . . yes it in the one and only Lois Conrad!!! Well I thought this was funny, good times with Lois ahead wahoo!! well I hope all is well with you all, I love you!!

The Magic of Camp

I just dropped J off for camp and he was so excited. I love the fact that he was so excited and that he gets to play all day and experience the magic of camp. The sweet smell of sunscreen mixed with the exhaustion of adventure are a combination that will make for a memorable summer. The best part is K is getting paid to orchestrate the fun and J gets to spend time with her. They are even lunch buddies today. I guess I am an adult now too old to be a camper or even a counselor, but being a mom to a cute camper and a SIL to a great counselor isn't too bad. Have a great summer you two! I love you.

It's been awhile!

Well i just looked at the blog for the first time in a while.. and i have to say i'm so excited for matt and heide to be coming home. (I also have to say to heide that i think that your scooter is probably one of the coolest purchases youve ever made!) My glands are healing and I am feeling better, I know some of you were worried from that picture that coleen posted:). As Tracie mentioned Sam left yesterday, as he was leaving i totally started crying just thinking about how quickly life can take a unknown turn...this whole thing has really effected the whole family. tracie, i forgot to tell you that i am reading east of eden. i really like it, but i haven't been able to just sit down and plough through it yet. i should have some time soon, though. i'm done working at the end of this week!

i just wanted to let everyone know that matthew and i will be in CA from july 12-16 for matt's brother's wedding. then we will fly back to CO to finish packing and drive back home. we will be there around july 24th or so. we are sooooo excited!

Sam left today. Diane and Mark got him from the hospital and brought him home. It was so amazing to see him. He was so grateful to be out of the hospital mom said to him sam it is so good to see you, samd said oh it's so good to be here, i like it here. He was just so kind and cute, thanking everybody for everything just telling everyone that they are amazing. It is just crazy how life works and how prayers are answered. Anyways I am so grateful for all of you and for all the people we know. I love you all.

no - the scooter is not a vespa, its a kymco. there are a lot of them around here...i don't know why. i see them all over the place.
anyway, matthew and i can't wait to come home...its coming up soon. i talked to the lady who is doing the security check, and she said that there are just a couple more things and that it shouldn't take much longer. so that's good! hopefully, everything will work out so that we can move out there right before beach week, as planned.

Heide's new scooter!

People what is happening to our blog?!! well i guess as always i have to take charge and get the ball rolling... well as we all know it has been a crazy week here. Sam's family is here and it is so fun to see everyone again, although i wish the circumstances were a little different. this week has truly made me so grateful for our family and such good friends. I feel so blessed to know that I have the constant support and prayers of all of you and if anything was to happen to any of us, i know what an amazing family i have that would stand by my side.
but this blog is getting much too serious and i thought i should relate a few things i have only recently been made aware of... so katie, dad and i went out to lunch yesterday and dad told me that if he had a vote he would definitely vote for katie as the funniest bryan no question. so then we started talking about who the smartest bryan was and of course that is jared... katie then asked well, then dad, who is the second smartest... dad replies well i think heide and adrienne are equally very smart, about the same level they just apply themselves differently. dad then proceeds with kelly is the most musically brilliant. so we have now concluded i am not the funniest bryan, nor am i the smartest nor the second smartest, not even close, nor am i musically inclined so a bit discouraged i asked (stupid i know) well what exactly do i have, and to no one's surprise dad's response was.. the biggest boobs. so there you have it bryans all of my hard work has paid off i have accomplished great things and have become the biggest breasted bryan. thank you all this totally reflects who i am and how i have really tapped into my inner talents and abilities. i feel great oh dad what a peach!! My confidence has hit an all time high I am on top of the world!!! thank you all.

Mothers Day??

So mothers day is this sunday...any ideas?? we have acouple in mind, we talked to dad and we are all going to go to the symphony this weekend down at the disney concert hall, I was going to buy tickets for just mom and dad but when I asked dad he thought it was a great idea but that we should all go (sorry those of you who are out of state). so then I was thinking maybe the kids could purchase a plane ticket for mom to colorado?? she has been really wanting to go, heide what do you think?? well, let me know asap, and if you have any other ideas!! Well Hello Family!! I decided to post a little something, well first of all I am very excited that this is the week that Adi is going to have her baby!! Mom is driving up today I am flying up Friday and dad and Kelly have decided, last minute as usual, to drive up Thursday. Oh it is going to be a glorious weekend!! Wahoo!! Well I really have nothing very important to say just hi and I love you all and i am so excited that we are going to have another nephew because so far we have the best nephews in the whole world. We have a new activity at our house and its called making sguises. Its a game that Alex and Jaden invented. First, you have to either take out all the clothes in a drawer or knock over a newly folded pile of laundry to find pieces to your squise. The best combinations require some sort of undergarment and the most popular are batman undies or one of my sports bras. The goal of your squise is to look like the most confused super hero (I think). Jared and I laughed so hard and the boys spent hours trying on different sguises.

Hello family it is I adrienne. First of all you all are very funny. Kelly you know I love those nostrils. They are magnificant.Coleen was that picture meant to be video? I would really like to see this brittney impersonation. Clearly it is a toss up as to how this "funniest bryan" title should go to. I still think Katie is pretty funny. Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that I am being induced an wed. april 26th!!!!! Mom is driving up the 25th and tracie is thinking of coming that weekend. No one knows what dad's plan is at this point but this comes as no suprise. There was talk of everyone just waiting until the weekend of the 21st of may because that is courtney parker's homecoming. whenever you decide to come is ok with me but i also understand if it's going to be to hard for some of you to make it. katie mom took alot of footage while she was here. If you could put a clip or too on the blog i am sure everyone would appreciate it. We are getting really excited... only one week and five days left!!!! I love you all and you all are very funny don't make me choose, we are all so lucky to be so witty.

Dates for visiting Adi

Okay, people, I need some input here...I am trying to schedule a weekend trip to Utah to visit Adi after the baby is born. Do you guys have any idea when you might be going? Are you thinking May or June? Because it would be really nice if we could coordinate and try to go to Utah at the same time.
I'm thinking May 19-21.
My one request is that you don't plan to go over Memorial Day because I have a camping trip planned for that weekend.
(Coleen, I'm counting on you to try to get everyone to discuss this and pick a date. Heaven knows that you're the only one organized enough to make it happen...)

Funniest Bryan?

So I know my title was in the form of a question but in all honesty there is no question about it I Tracie Melissa am the funniest Bryan. Now just to be extremely clear, I believe that there are those in this family who can get a good laugh from others by strictly being weird and silly but this is not what I am referring to. Based purely on comedic timing, execution, delivery, wit, and genius, it is quite clear that I am the funniest Bryan. I have encountered a bit of oposition in this statement initially but as there really is no argument here the opposition quickly backs down. So I would just like to put this out there so that if and when it becomes necessary to answer the question to outsiders, "So who IS the funniest Bryan?" We are all well prepared and succinct with our answers.

Oh Jaden!!

I just wanted to tell you all a funny thing Jaden said the other day. I was driving with him somewhere and I asked him what his favorite song was right now and he said, "Oh it's that one that's like medium rock n roll you know it says, 'Dude looks like a Lady', you know that one?" And of course he sang it. Well I thought that alone was funny, I don't know who is introducing him to these wonderful songs, Coleen? So later when we were driving with mom and dad and Tony I asked Jaden if he would sing it for everyone, he says "No it's a secret, my mom told me I couldn't tell because it was a secret, the other day she just typed in secrets.com and found it and that's where I got it." Oh he is so funny!! (For those of you in this family who may be a bit slow secrets.com isn't real, he made that up.) Isn't Jaden the coolest kid you know!!

i don't know, i think my email from jaden was even better. he said "i know you love me more than tracie..." he he. maybe all my brainwashing is paying off. :) i miss the boys so much. and the rest of the family too! matthew and i were just talking about how we want to move back home! but right now, it just doesn't make sense. the problem is that it probably won't get any easier in the future either. we'll see. but somebody definitely needs to come visit. who will it be? who will be the first bryan to come?? who loves me the most??

Okay, I really did get the best e-mail from Jaden, he told me he loved me better than the moon!! It was so cute. Well family I hope all is well with everyone, Katie, Kelly and I are going up to Salt Lake to see Adrienne and Michael. We are so excited! I wish Colorado was a little bit closer so we could access Heide and Matt a bit more easily. Anyway life here is great, and just a little information, in case mom hasn't already told you, I am going to Fiji with Tony in the month of June. As you know he went there on his mission and he's been planning this trip back to build a "pig farm" as a way for the branch to earn money for supplies and such. So I am going to help build with this project (no it's not a honeymoon type thing). Mom and Dad think that we should be married before we go on a trip together and to tell you the truth I agree and all and it makes sense, but you know we have only been dating a little bit and when would I get married before we go? IMPOSSIBLE!! If you have any thoughts, opinions let me know, but that's pretty much all the exciting news I have for now. I love you all!!

well, i kind of feel like a stranger beign that no one asked me too join this little blog site. But that is OK, I will live. BTW, (BTW I think BTW is kind of silly) This is Michael, Michael Barnett, that guy who stole poor little Adrienne away from all her crazy, or wacko sisters. I will not lie, I cried for three nights straight when i found out about this little site and knew that no one was going to invite me. So I have crashed your little club!!!! In all seriousness, we are doing well. We are trying to adjust to the new settings, as you could imagine. We are really excited to see Jared and Coleen, and then a few weeks later the rest of the siblings. Adi-pooh is getting huge, she really likes it when you reffer to her belly as a burrito pouch! She looks really cute with her little belly. One last thing, we would like some input on possible names for the little guy. Barnett is not the easiest name to go with. We want everyones input, even Jared. We love you guys.

Hunter the Beast

There are few things that can really bother me and on the top of my list are people who are mean to my boys. Jaden came home today and said that he had a horrible day. It seems that this boy named Hunter chased him around the playground, threw sand at him, and would hit him when the teacher wasn’t looking. Jaden added that he tried really hard to get away but Hunter is a really fast runner. When I picked him up from school he came running and gave me one of those “mom where have you been all day hugs.” I knew something was wrong and questioned him in the car. He gave me a full account of playground time with Hunter the beast and ended with I hope I can run faster tomorrow. This makes me so sad, its really the first time that I can’t really take the hurt out of his day with just a kiss or it will be okay. I really just want to sit on the kid. I am reminded how short your time is with your children at home all to yourself and to your family. Who are we kidding, Jaden is constantly surrounded by an adoring audience of cute Aunts and wonderful grandparents and he just figure out yesterday that his elbow was not his actual bicep. There will probably be more Hunters and I will probably cry more tears, but hopefully my boys will still be comforted by a hug from their mom. BTW on the way home he wanted to go to Grandma and Grandpas to see his Aunts. I am grateful for the fact that we can live so close to a loving family. Glad to see you all figured out the blog.

Are family is so wierd

I like tracie really struggled with the whole bloggy blog. But hey, I think I got it. Just don't ask me to do anything fancy like post pictures or anything. Jared I really like the description you gave the blog. Sometimes I wonder why we are all so wacko but then I realize we never had a chance at being normal because we came from a man who goes golfing in his pj's. I am so excited about everyone coming to visit. I gives me something to look forward to. I really miss all of you guys. Michael and I just moved in with bob and gesse. I love them they are great but it makes miss you guys even more. It was really nice to hear from katie so much in one weekend even though she didn't know it was my b-day. ( at least she called me... kelly) I love you all very much and I can't wait to see you all even if the boys are being left behind.

Um, so it has taken me a litle while to figure this blog thing out but I did it so congratulate me. I thought I would just post a little tid bit, hello everyone, I love you all very much and miss you, and I would appreciate it if you would all stop telling me when YOU want the wedding to be!! I think we all need to just calm down a little bit and not get so hasty. No but seriously life is good and things with Tony are just great!! I couldn't be happier at the moment. Well, I was just talking with Erin Berg, Heide, and we want to plan a trip to Colorado, so I will fill you in on the details later!! one incredibly hot brother and a bunch of crazy girls?? what's up with that? i object. i am not crazy. and i'm a woman, not a girl!! coleen, i hope you were not a culprit in coming up with that.

so, matthew and i thought we would give you a quick update on our lives. things are going pretty well lately. except that it is sunday afternoon, and matthew is in his giddy mode. i don't know why, but he gets that way every sunday after church. on fast sundays, it only gets worse...
so anyway, back to the update. matthew is liking school- he is doing an illustration of jack and the beanstalk for one of his classes. he is also doing a lot of classroom observation, which he has enjoyed. he is trying to figure out which grade he wants to end up teaching.
matthew got called as the secretary in the elders quorum and has been fairly involved in the ward with visits, moving people, and doing home teaching. our ward is a pretty typical downtown ward- with not too many people and lots of callings for anyone who is interested. its been fun, though.
matthew has been great about cooking meals, which is great because i'm always too tired and too hungry to even think about cooking.
as for me- things are going well. i am really liking the YW. we have had basketball the past few weeks and it has been sooooo funny to watch! (i never knew a person could get all the way down the court while dribbling so high that the ball bounces over the head!) anyway, its been fun. we are planning a new beginnings for the next couple of weeks. hopefully it will turn out nicely.
work is OK. i had a lunch meeting with my boss on friday and, amazingly, i didn't get fired. my boss and i mutually agreed to think about my position, and where it is going, though. i'm not quite sure what that means, but i interpreted it to mean that i will not be getting fired for now. i never quite know with her...my boss can be very scary at times. but otherwise, work is going pretty well. i like immigration a lot. and lately i have been able to leave work quite a bit earlier, which leaves time for other things. matthew and i got climbing passes at a local gym last week, so i've started climbing again, which has made me soooo happy. it is so nice to get out and have something to get my mind off work, etc.

we did it!

Ski Days....

We did it. Your wondeful brother is going to sacrifice great skiing and ski with me from Feb. 17-18. Join us if you can. Its a short trip and Grandma/Grandpa are kind enough to agree to watch them. I hope those excited about us coming are still excited considering we are leaving are cute parts behind.

Katie was sweet enough to watch the boys yesterday and Jaden loved it but did have one complaint. He said," Mom, Katie threw away some dinos." "Why,"I asked?" He responded, "She put them in the microwave and pushed the burn button, silly Katie."
